We all know how much I love Russian Hill. But if I had to move (or I were tempted by a better apartment), I’d want to live in a neighborhood with equally stunning views — perhaps even a spot with views of Russian Hill like, say, Telegraph Hill. Enter my friend Ben’s apartment at 126 Pfeiffer St.

Ben’s magnificent 1-bedroom, 1-bath Telegraph Hill condo can be yours for $2,895/month (+optional $250/mo. furnished). His delightful digs boast panoramic views of the Golden Gate, Mt. Tam, Alcatraz, the Bay Bridge, and Treasure Island. As for the interiors, it features a wood-burning fireplace, hardwood floors, crown moldings, and an updated kitchen with stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and stainless steel fridge. Plus, it’s got garage parking, a large storage space, a washer/dryer on-site, and a shared roof deck. Can you say dream apt? If you’re interested, view more photos and find contact info here. Just remember to invite me to your Fleet Week party!

P.S. If this post seems irrelevant or slightly biased, just remember: it’s my party, I can cry if I want to.

One of our very own readers, Christina, is hosting an art auction benefit for Haiti, Hope Force Art Benefit & Silent Auction, next Thursday, May 6 at Space Gallery (1141 Polk St.) from 7pm to midnight. “It should be a really fun event with music, bar, desserts, and great art,” she says. Pretty much sums up all my interests in one fell swoop!

Proceeds benefit Hope Force International, a disaster relief organization, DJ Danny White will be spinning, and pastries will be donated by The Heart Baker. Suggested door donation is $5-$10, so have a heart and bring some cash.

Will I see you there?

Polk Street’s very own designer sample sale shop Thread Lounge has ditched its abode in Harvest’s old spot, and is now renting the former retail space of the late Spring (to the tune of $7500/mo) at 2162 Polk between Broadway and Vallejo. To celebrate their sweet new digs, there’ll be an in-store bash Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. Come for tunes, cocktails, wine, and of course, fashionable threads.

New Bar to Take Over Cossu

A group called Red Stick Enterprises applied for a new liquor license for the space at 1516 Broadway, formerly Cossu, which closed last July. No specifics beyond that, but I’m sure the Polk folk will be happy to have another watering hole in the ‘hood. It’ll be interesting to see whether the owners keep the extravagant Moroccan theme or try to tone it down a bit.
